The Blue River Fly Fishers are placing a renewed emphasis on protecting the Blue River, the true jewel of southeastern Oklahoma and a treasured resource within the Chickasaw Nation. Our commitment is to elevate awareness, conservation, and respect for this remarkable watershed.

About The Event
It's that time once again for the annual Blue River Fly Classic. Like last year, all contestants will receive one and only one fly pattern. All contestants this year will receive a special memento for their involvement in the Blue River Public Hunting and Fishing area. The memento is from the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and will declare each recipient as a River Keeper!
The goal of the Blue River Fly Fishers will be a higher sense and elevated stewardship on Blue River this season. This season there will be a huge focus on the gathering and removal of discarded fishing line which serves as a great determinant to fish, fowl and mammals.
Special T-shirts come with all participants that enter by the February 13th, 2026 deadline and a Chuck wagon style lunch will be provided to the contestants and guests. We look forward to see you at the…
